Healing from Betrayal Trauma
We believe in relationships built on trust, love, and mutual respect – because we were made for connection. When betrayal comes – whether through emotional, virtual, or physical infidelity – it shatters our sense of safety, meaning, and self. We are left in its wake with confusion, pain, and questions: “How did this happen? Am I to blame? Can I ever trust again?”
Recovery from betrayal trauma is difficult to do alone. We’re here to offer the support, resources, and connection you need to find healing.
DID YOU KNOW…
Betrayal trauma can look a lot like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Few experiences create more pain and hurt than sexual infidelity (whether emotional, virtual, or physical). There are ongoing effects from the trauma of this betrayal, and the symptoms and memories may remain for months or even years later.
Many individuals that seek help for betrayal are treated for depression or anxiety – but they struggle to find full healing and recovery. Our studies have shown that 70% of people who have been betrayed were actually showing symptoms of PTSD – which can require a different set of strategies to overcome.
RIGHT NOW, YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING:
+
Worry and anxiety
+
Reliving the experience
+
Indescribable fear
+
Increased emotional arousal
+
Isolation
+
Feeling lost or crazy
+
Difficulty trusting others
+
Negative self-talk
You’re not alone – these are all very common symptoms of betrayal trauma. But the good news is, healing IS possible.
You are stronger than you realize, and there are specific strategies that you can implement to begin the healing process.
Many have walked down this road before and successfully found healing. Our goal is to help you gain a clear understanding of how you’re being impacted by betrayal from infidelity so you can begin to make shifts that will bring peace back into your life.

OUR METHODS
Through a symptom-focused approach,
we will lead you on a journey back to yourself.
Our methods are based on our research stemming from assessments and decades of experience working with individuals healing from sexual betrayal.
In addition to in-person sessions, we offer personalized treatment plans (‘Roadmaps’) that include between-session guidance, reflective exercises, recommended practices, and supportive tools to help you stay on track throughout your healing process.
How it works:
Maintain momentum between sessions
Our individualized Roadmaps at Embrace provide structured exercises and reflection prompts to help reinforce the work we do together. Research shows that steady, intentional engagement over time creates lasting change—and we’re here to support that process.

Actionable tools to help you put insight into practice
Research shows that journaling can be deeply healing. That’s why your Embrace Roadmap includes reflection prompts and simple action steps to help you process what you’re learning, deepen self-awareness, and gently integrate change between sessions.
Clinical, Research-Informed & Faith Strong 1:1 Sessions
Check-ins and reflection points within your Roadmap help you stay connected to your growth and notice what’s shifting between sessions. When you bring that insight into the therapy room—your reflections, questions, and journaling—it allows your therapist to tailor each session more intentionally to your needs and emerging patterns.
