Sexual Addiction & Compulsivity

Trying to heal on your own can be overwhelming. When progress slips or old patterns return, it’s natural to feel discouraged or unsure of what to do next.

You don’t have to walk this alone. Our team is here to help you understand your patterns, rebuild trust, heal emotional wounds, and create daily habits that support long-term restoration.

DID YOU KNOW…

1 in 10 men admit to having unwanted and compulsive sexual behavior.

Individuals struggling with sexual addiction often use sex or pornography for the same reasons that others turn to alcohol or drugs – to escape painful realities, or to help regulate their mood.

Addiction is powerful, but it is possible to regain control again. Think of addiction as the very tip of a much larger iceberg – if we don’t look deeper at what’s underneath the surface, we’re likely missing a huge part of the picture. We help you begin to peel back the layers of your experiences so you can understand where your behavior comes from. Our goal is to shift away from feeding our addiction, redirect that energy, and turn it outward.

The Path to RECOVERY can look like:

+
Understanding Your Past

+
Developing Recovery Capital

+
Discovery of Purpose & Meaning

+
Social Boundaries & Health

The recovery process requires a consistent effort, of many things, over time – we call this Recovery Capital.

We have found that there is an additive effect in successful recovery. You develop one new habit for recovery, then you move on to the next methods – while still continuing the previous habits. Day by day, you’re building the strength and skills you need to move forward.

Not only will developing Recovery Capital increase your chances of success in recovery – but your overall quality life will likely improve as well.

OUR METHODS

Through a symptom-focused approach, we will help you overcome your addiction and repair damaged relationships.

Using a Recovery Capital model, we help our clients gain a deeper understanding of what may be driving their addiction, identify what potential triggers and barriers may hinder their progress, and guide them down a path towards recovery.

How it works:

Maintain momentum between sessions

Our individualized Roadmaps at Embrace provide structured exercises and reflection prompts to help reinforce the work we do together. Research shows that steady, intentional engagement over time creates lasting change – and we’re here to support that process.

Actionable tools to help you put insight into practice

Research shows that journaling can be deeply healing. That’s why your Embrace Roadmap includes reflection prompts and simple action steps to help you process what you’re learning, deepen self-awareness, and gently integrate change between sessions.

Clinical, Research-Informed & Faith Strong 1:1 Sessions

Check-ins and reflection points within your Roadmap help you stay connected to your growth and notice what’s shifting between sessions. When you bring that insight into the therapy room – your reflections, questions, and journaling – it allows your therapist to tailor each session more intentionally to your needs and emerging patterns.
