Ericksonian Hypnosis
Ericksonian Hypnosis is widely utilized in therapeutic settings and has been effective in treating a range of issues, including anxiety, phobias, trauma, addiction, and psychosomatic disorders. By embracing the client’s unique experiences, language, and beliefs, Ericksonian Hypnosis offers a flexible and personalized approach to therapeutic change, empowering individuals to tap into their inner resources and achieve positive outcomes.
Ericksonian Hypnosis incorporates various Techniques
- Utilization: The therapist pays close attention to the client’s verbal and non-verbal communication, beliefs, and experiences. This information is then skillfully utilized to craft suggestions and interventions that resonate with the client’s unique perspective and promote therapeutic change.
- Metaphor and Storytelling: Metaphors and stories are used to communicate messages indirectly, engaging the client’s imagination and bypassing resistance. These metaphors can be powerful tools to convey complex concepts, challenge limiting beliefs, and facilitate subconscious transformation.
- Indirect Suggestion: Instead of using direct commands, Ericksonian Hypnosis utilizes subtle and permissive suggestions. These suggestions can be embedded within stories, metaphors, or casual conversation, allowing the client to interpret and internalize them in their own way.
- Hypnotic Language Patterns: The use of hypnotic language patterns, such as embedded commands, presuppositions, and double entendre, is a hallmark of Ericksonian Hypnosis. These linguistic techniques are designed to bypass conscious resistance and communicate directly with the subconscious mind.
- Trance Induction: Ericksonian Hypnosis recognizes that individuals can enter into a trance state in various ways. Trance induction may involve the use of relaxation techniques, guided imagery, dissociation, or even everyday activities, depending on the client’s responsiveness and preferred modality.

Intake Session First, then Induction Session(s)
First Consultation Session: During your initial consultation session, you can expect a supportive and confidential environment where you will have the opportunity to openly discuss your concerns, goals, and expectations with the hypnotherapist. The therapist will take the time to understand your background, medical history, and the specific issue you want to address. They may ask relevant questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs and develop a personalized treatment plan. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about hypnosis, the therapeutic process, and what to expect during subsequent sessions.
First Hypnotic Session: In your first hypnotic session, the hypnotherapist will guide you into a relaxed state using various techniques like deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or guided imagery. You will remain fully conscious and in control throughout the session. The purpose of this session is to induce a state of heightened suggestibility and receptivity to therapeutic interventions. The hypnotherapist may use suggestions, metaphors, or storytelling to address your specific issue and facilitate positive change in your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. At the end of the session, you will be gently brought out of the hypnotic state, and there will be time for reflection and discussion about your experience. The hypnotherapist may provide insights, answer any questions you have, and collaborate with you on a treatment plan moving forward.
Let’s Make Things Happen
“In the first session he managed to uncover the origin and start the healing process of one of my deepest and worst traumas. I am really glad I found Micah. I was struggling with depression, anxiety and PTSD and tried various different medications. I have found myself happier, more confident and assertive at work and in my personal life. I wish I found him sooner!” – Ahmed
“Recently I’ve been making some major adjustments to my life and unfortunately that caused a lot of anxiety to begin to surface. It was seeping into my relationship and causing me a great deal of distress because I didn’t want my insecurities to cause damage. After working with Micah my anxiety is no longer negatively impacting me. I finally feel at ease again and I can see how it’s positively impacting both my business and my relationship. He came in at just the right time and it only took a single session!” – Chris
