Emilie Quisenberry, BA, AACC
Life Counselor & Wellness Coach
Can you imagine what it would be like to:
* Eat ALL food without judgment, shame, or condemnation?
* Never think about calories, macros, or weighing and measuring your food?
* Stop attaching your worth to your food choices or the number on the scale?
* Never go on another diet again where you lose the weight and gain it all back?
* Feel peaceful around food in any social situation and eat without fear?
I’m Emilie Quisenberry and I struggled for decades with losing weight only to gain it back and then some. I hated my body and thought if I could find just the right diet and then have enough willpower, I would lose the weight and be happy. But when I finally did achieve this, why wasn’t I happy? Why was I still a slave to food? And why did I ultimately gain the weight back?
I spent a decade unraveling my unhealthy relationship with food and the disgust (even hatred) I had for my body. I spent time in God’s word to learn who I was in Him which ultimately led to learning how to live freely in this area that had eluded me all my life.
I took years to piece it all together – integrating what worked and leaving behind what didn’t. I tried and failed but kept going because I believed freedom in this area was possible through Christ.
Through this process I realized 3 important keys to help you get off the diet yo-yo cycle, to lose weight and to keep it off for good:
1. Understanding why dieting doesn’t work and never will.
2. Learning to value and appreciate your body by understanding who you are in Christ rather than the number on the scale, the size of your jeans, or the food you eat.
3. Developing habits that will enable you to stop dieting, eat ALL food (even the ones you’ve demonized), lose weight, and keep it off for good.
Iām an AACC certified life coach with a focus on health and wellness and would be honored to help you on your journey to living freely in this area of your life.
A little bit about me…I’ve been married to Stephen for 30 years and we have 3 adult children. We are also both caring for our aging parents. Stephen and I love to take road trips to fun places off the beaten path. We’re always looking for a great antique store to find a treasure or to grab a bite in a fun local restaurant. We live in the Piney Woods of East Texas and have made it a priority to source our food from local farmers in our area as much as possible. I love to walk, lift weights, and have recently taken up pickle ball. I’m involved in Women’s Bible Study at our church and have a passion for Recovery ministry where we focus on freedom in Christ from addiction, past hurt, and destructive patterns.
I invite you to schedule a complimentary 15 minute phone call to see if working together would be a good fit for you!
I look forward to connecting soon!
